Ambassador of Italy in the Ecological Hole

Daniele Mancini, ambassador of Italy to Romania, was notified by the executive of the County Council with regard to the problems of the Italian Agenda 21 company, in view of the implementation of the “Mures Regional Ecological Depot” investment. The foreign diplomat requested the transmission of a memorial which should serve as basis for taking measures in order to boost the activity performed by this company. The County Council showed that the company missed the deadline for the hand-over of the works stipulated in the public private partnership contract, and that the execution of the works at the ecological depot and the transfer stations was delayed, and the works chart was modified, while the last deadline for execution should be May 2006. “Daniele Mancini replied he had been the Italian ambassador to Romania for little time and he asked for documentation in order to become familiar with the case. We think he knows the Italian business environment in a more thorough manner and that he may plead the cause with other investors”, the president of the Mures County Council, Lokodi Edita Emoke explained.
