Romexpo, too small for constructors

Between the March the 22nd-25th 2006, the Romexpo exhibition center will host Construct Expo. In year 2005, a top participation was recorded. The number of companies subscribed exceeds 600, of which 470 are Romanian companies and the others are foreign companies. Starting 2006, two construction exhibitions will be organized.

During the 12 editions organized starting 1993, Construct Expo, international exhibition of architecture, technology, equipment, installations, tools, construction devices and materials, underwent continuous development and diversification. Top participation was recorded in 2005: over 1200 companies from 22 countries, on an exhibition area of 62.000 sq m. Starting this year, ROMEXPO will organize two construction exhibitions: Construct Expo Entrepreneur, between March the 22nd and the 25th 2006 and Construct Expo Ambient between May the 17th and 21st 2006. “This decision was made in order to ensure a better marketing for the two major components of the event – entrepreneurship, destined to construction materials and equipment and ambience, destined to carpentry, finishing and interior design companies, in order to increase the level of specialization of the exhibition and to create optimal conditions for settling business contacts between the exhibitors and the specialist public, as well as to tally the tendency of extension of the exhibition area requested with the one available at the Romexpo Exhibition Center”, Dana Popa, head of the PR department of Romexpo specified. Specialized in the field of construction materials and equipment, Construct Expo Entrepreneur is an event fully dedicated to specialists of the field, and the exhibition in May, Construct Expo Ambient, dedicated to carpentry, finishing and interior design companies, targets both the specialists and the public. “We have to specify that the constructions exhibition will take place in the same time as other two events, Romtherm and Expo Security, and the entire area of the Romexpo exhibition center is contracted for all the three”, Dana Popa added. The area occupied by the companies participating in Construct Expo Entrepreneur is 39.500 sq m inside and 16.000 sq m outside. The number of subscribing companies exceeds 600, and 470 of these are Romanian companies, while the others are foreign.

Day of the Architect

On March the 23rd 2006, the “Day of the Architect” is organized, when architects and students from the University of Architecture have free access, on the basis of the architect or student ID authorized for this year. Besides the exhibition, a series of related events is organized, such as company presentations, presentations of technical solutions, debates and symposiums.
