Grosu’s revocation is a matter of any day now

The Supreme Council of Magistrates (CMS) was unable to make a decision in case of the president of the Targu Mures Court of Appeal last Wednesday, after justice Artenie Cordos obtained in court the cancellation of the order by which he was revoked in summer of 2003.

By chance or in a premeditated manner, just as in case of the ordinance regarding corruption combat, in the plenary session of the CMS yesterday, the quorum needed for the adoption of a resolution was not met. And this happened despite of the fact that justice Artenie Cordos was convoked to the plenary session of the CMS where he defended his case and requested the enforcement of the court order which settled he was removed from office in an abusive manner, respectively, he requested his reinstatement in his position. Sources from the CMS say the majority of those present at the talks, upon Artenie Cordos’s hearing, considered he should be reinstituted in his position. Former president of the CSM, Dan Lupascu, took another position, as expected, considering that the actual president of the Court, Floarea Grosu should be convoked to the hearings as well, whom he is in good relations with. Delay of the resolution, just as Lupascu’s opinion, are only two examples that not even an entity which should be guarantor of respecting the law, fulfills its attributes correctly. And this because the enforcement of the irrevocable order by which Artenie Cordos won the case, should have been performed two weeks ago, without further comments and not at the request of the Targu Mures courthouse, but by initiative of the CSM. To be continued with details in future editions.
