The Fraud Squad parts from the Revenue Office

According to a new normative act, the Garda Financiara Fraud Squad might part from the Fisc revenue office, and the activities of the two institutions will be delimited. The normative act is in a final stage, and the most important attribute of the Fraud Squad will be the combat of embezzlement, as well as settling the related damages for the infractions stated, without affecting the attributes of other institutions. The Fraud Squad will also be able to effectuate searches, when so required by circumstances. (B.D.)
