Tragic death in Spain

Two persons from Ibãnești died on Tuesday in Spain. Florina Fãrcaș, age 23, went to Italy to visit relatives and joined her boyfriend, Marcel Moldovan, on his way to Spain. Both were trying to find a job better paid, as Moldovan’s brother had been working in Spain for three years. Florina Fãrcaș graduated from the Petru Maior University last year and believed that working abroad meant bigger paychecks. The bus driver, Ionițã Bolcan, was from Turda and the car was borrowed from a friend whom he told he wanted to take a trip to Spain. Neighbors of the victims state that it was not for the first time Bolcan drove workers to Spain, without having a license. The families of the two victims have to pay 10.200 Euros to transport the bodies to Ibãnești. The local board of administration covers part of the amount. The two young people will be buried in the Ibãnești cemetery on Tuesday. Two other persons were seriously injured in the accident. They were transported by a helicopter to a Spanish hospital. More than 700.000 Romanians work in Spain, but only 400.000 of them on legal basis. (C.A.)
