Sighisoara makes Dinkelsbuhl collaboration permanent
Friendship and collaboration relations between people of Sighisoara and its German sister town, Dinkelsbuhl, will be promoted by the “Sighisoara-Dinkelsbuhl Friendship Club” Association. Spokeswoman of the Town Hall, Michaela Turk (foto), emphasized it was very important that partnership relations should not remain at the level of the administrative apparatus of the two towns, but citizens should also get actively involved in this partnership. Until now, about 35 people were invited to become members of the Sighisoara-Dinkelsbuhl Friendship Club, but the list remains open to all who wish to join.
The statute of the Association specifies that various events will be organized for the promotion and support of work with youth at the international level, exchange programs for students and pupils of the two towns will be organized, foreign language classes and cultural and sports events. The association pursues non-profit common interests exclusively, according to applicable laws. Natural persons or legal entities may become members of the association, and adherence will be analyzed by the Board of Administration, after a written request. Both the statute and other organizational details will be discussed on March the 24th, at 5 pm, in a meeting which takes place in the state-room of the Sighisoara Town Hall. (F.C.)
