Investments BooM in Targu Mures
The Investments BooM III Romanian-Hungarian business
conference takes place in Targu Mures, on March the 22nd-23rd. The main topic of the event is real estate investments in Transylvania on the threshold of European integration. Ministers, hotel managers, tourism agency managers and representatives of the local administration will make speeches and answer to
questions of the participants.
The hotel industry, tourism and real estate investments in Transylvania on the threshold of European integration will be analyzed in Targu Mures, within the Investments BooM III Romanian-Hungarian business conference. Among the speakers invited, we find the delegate minister of public works and territory arrangement, Borbely Laszlo, Gal Laszlo – the director of the Eastern Europe and Mediterranean sales department of Malev Hungarian Airlines, Harshegyi Frigyes – the director of the OTP Bank Romania, Janos Kurko – proprietor of the Hunguest Hotel Fenyo and Paul Marasoiu, president of the Peacock Hotels.
EU – blessing or curse?
Lectures start on Wednesday, March the 22nd, when Biro Gaspar, the director of the Romanian office of Magyar Turizmus SA, will talk about “What the integration may bring in tourism”. Kurko Janos Gyorgy, the owner and general director of Hunguest Hotel Fenyo will then present “Tourism and real estate investments in the Szekely region”, and the necessity of the correlation of investment efforts of the hotel industry with the requirements of the European market will be explained by Paul Marasoiu, president of the PEACOCK Hotels, who presents regional concepts and strategies as well as business-local administration partnerships.
Under the slogan of “Closer to Transylvania”, Gal Laszlo, director of the Eastern Europe and Mediterranean sales department of Malev Hungarian Airlines speaks about the business perspectives in the region, while Szabo Samuel, the general director of the SAPARD Romania Agency, explains what changes entrepreneurs should expect with regard to European funding.
In the end of the first day of talks, a round table is scheduled, with “The road to the heart of tourism leads through its stomach” for topic, about the role of gastronomy in the tourism process, where Kovacs Istvan, chairman of the Transylvanian Gastronomic Union, Todor Etelka, executive director of Hunguest Hotel Fenyo in Miercurea Ciuc, Kiss Margit, executive director of the Blue Pearl restaurant in Targu Mures, Dr. Csavossy Gyorgy, member of the Hungarian Wine Academy and Dr. Balla Geza, oenologist member, director of Wine Princess will participate.
Path of water through the Szekely land
On Wednesday, March the 23rd, representatives of the local public administration of Tg Mures take part in the round table on regional strategies, partnership projects and local opportunities for investors, with topic “Path of mineral water; the Szekely region and its tourism opportunities”. Among the guests we find Lokodi Edita Emoke, president of the Mures County Council, Bunta Levente, president of the Harghita County Council, Demeter Janos, president of the Covasna County Council, mayor of Odorheiu Secuiesc, Szasz Jeno and vice mayor of Targu Mures, Csegzi Sandor.
On the same day, speeches will be made on the technical counseling and management of tourism investment projects, investment features of Transylvania, castles and manor-houses, the progress of the retrocession of Transylvanian noble family goods, loans and funding in tourism investments and tourism services on the threshold of European integration. “This is the third conference of this type, the schedule is nearly finalized, but small changes may occur. The last day for registering is today, March the 17th”, Fodor Erzsebet, marketing manager of the event told us.
