Housing from the state

SC Urbana company, in the subordination of the Sibiu Local Council, planned to build this year an apartment building and 18 attic type apartments.

Funds for the construction of attic-apartments are stipulated in the budget of the company for this year. This spring Urbana will start the construction of eight such apartments, on two apartment building terraces, which the company has bought in the Vasile Aron neighborhood. Apartments will have one, two or three rooms and will serve people of Sibiu who wish to purchase such apartments.

Likewise, most likely the coming summer, Urbana SA will build an apartment building in the area of Turnisor neighborhood, on a land located behind Orzului, Ovazului and Graului streets. The destination of the land on which the apartment building is to be raised must be approved by the Local Council first. The land has a surface of approximately one hectare, and in the future six to eight apartment buildings may be built here.

Apartments built thus will have a price of approximately 370 euros per square meter. The total price of the apartment will be paid in three installments – the first installment of 35 percent of the amount will be paid in advance, upon starting the constructions, the second installment will be paid upon finishing the building resistance structure stage, and the third one will be paid at the end of the works. Depending on the wishes of the buyer, the apartment can be handed over in an unfurnished or furnished state, and the price of the apartment would be higher in the latter case.

Extended activity

According to the statute, SC Urbana administers the spaces with non-housing destination, conceded to this company in the subordination of the Local Council by the Sibiu City Hall. Recently, SC Urbana has extended its field of activity, adding the construction of attic type apartments to its profile.
