Sighisoara Agency for energetic efficiency
In Sighisoara there will function an Agency for efficient energy administration, serving the municipium by the Tarnava Mare, Cristuru Secuiesc town and adjacent locations. The project submitted by Cristurul Secuiesc to the head office of the European Commission regarding the establishment of the Agency was accepted for funding, and the Sighisoara Local Council will participate in this project with over 59.000 Euros, representing 51% of the total eligible costs of the project. The non-refundable amount that may be benefited from for three years is 57.500 Euros. Initially, the head office of the Agency was supposed to be in Cristuru, but following the floods, in August, the funds were re-allocated to the restoration of the infrastructure, and the location was moved to Sighisoara. According to the representatives of the European Integration Department within the Sighisoara City Hall, the agency will perform the energetic audit of the building, and implicitly, obtaining the so-called “energetic passport” document which will become mandatory following the European Integration. As a result of the talks with the president of the County Council, Lokodi Edita, the counselors from Sighisoara were given the promise that the LC will cover part of the funds necessary for the establishment of the Agency. Adjacently, a database will be set up, which will contain all the energy sources in the area, serving as basis for studies of energetic efficiency. Within the structure, there will be three full-time employees (one director and two experts) and a part-time accountant, their payment being made from the project funds. (F.C.)
